
Marketing Assistant
Term:Fixed-term freelance for 5.5 months; 20th May to 5th October
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour
Location: Cornwall / Hybrid Onsite at Events
Hours: 35 hours per month, with the possibility of additional hours if required
Live Events: Approx 300 additional hours across 4 festivals (see details under Key Dates)

Quick Panda Productions (QPP) is an award-winning Cornish-based company creating extraordinary festivals, corporate events, and brand activations. Our portfolio includes Rattler Fest, The Great Estate Festival, Paradhis, Live at Scorrier House, Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival, and The Cathedral Masquerade.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and creative marketer with a passion for festivals and a fresh perspective. You’ll bring energy, a collaborative attitude, and exceptional organisational skills to our team. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, so experience is a must for this role.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media marketing and communications is required. Experience within a live event environment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, and familiarity with marketing tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and audience engagement.
- Creativity to produce eye-catching content, including graphics and reels.
- Strong organizational abilities and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines.
- A team player who can also work independently when needed.
- A passion for festivals and events.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / GSuite software packages.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop).
- Proficiency in video editing (e.g.Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut).
- Experience with website content management (WordPress, Wix, Easol).
- Familiarity with Canva.
- Fluency with email marketing tools like Mailchimp.
Additional Information
- Applicants must have their own camping equipment or arrange daily transport to and from festival sites. Due to the remote locations of the events, having your own vehicle is essential.
- Suitable all-weather clothing and footwear are required.
- A personal laptop and phone are essential for performing this role, including content capture and editing apps
- Crew catering will be provided during live events.
Key Dates
Outside of the contracted monthly hours, these additional hours are for onsite at each festival. The successful candidate must be available to attend ALL the following festivals and events, this is a non-negotiable. Please note some flexibility in hours is required, and the listed hours are estimates.

- Work Dates: 20th-26th August | Approx. Hours: 70
Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival
- Festival Dates: 12th-14th Sept 2025 | Location: Healeys, Truro, TR4 9LW
- Work Dates: 9th-16th September | Approx. Hours: 70

The Role:
We’re searching for an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team and work across an exciting lineup of festivals and events in Cornwall. If you’re passionate about festivals, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a knack for all things digital marketing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate marketing campaigns across social media and other platforms.
- Create compelling digital content, including video reels and TikToks.
- Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and uncover new marketing opportunities.
- Ensure brand consistency across all content and marketing outputs.
- Provide administrative and customer service support to the marketing and comms team.
- Play an active, hands-on role at live events, creating content, and supporting marketing and communications activities onsite.
